You've probably had times when you've seen something interesting (or pretty or unusual or dramatic) and thought, "That would make a good picture."

My job is to take the stuff that doesn't jump out at you, and make it jump out at you. The widget-forming machine. The taco salad. The bashful board chairman who doesn't like having her picture taken.

I've made arresting images of everything from Porsches to politicians. Few were inherently interesting when we started. All of them were by the time I was ready to shoot.

I do this job well because I know how to compose shapes, match colors and arrange lights. I do those tasks well because of a particular blend of talents: patience, an easy-going perfectionism, curiosity, and (I like to think) a good eye for what looks good.

In addition to innate talent it helps to have $75,000 in digital equipment, including two digital camera backs. Such an investment allows me to do big jobs efficiently, either in my 3,500-square-foot studio or on location.

So, why have me shoot your pictures? That's easy. I'm easy to work with and I capture great images. For proof, look at the samples on this Web site. I think you'll get the picture.
